Manchester City sweating over Nastasic knee knock

The Serbian was withdrawn shortly before the hour mark after picking up a knock and left the ground with an ice pack on his leg.

City’s medical staff are treating the tests as precautionary, with Roberto Mancini already currently without Joleon Lescott, Micah Richards and make-shift defensive option Jack Rodwell due to injuries.
The 19-year-old impressed against Tottenham before falling heavily towards the end of the first half, and was replaced by Maicon as City came from a goal down to secure three points thanks to strikes from Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko.

City will hope to have the results of the scan by Monday evening, with the youngster set to travel to Switzerland for Serbia’s friendly with Chile in St Gallen on Wednesday. The Serbian Football Association have yet to make an announcement on whether he will travel.
Mancini’s side sit two points off Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table following the win over Spurs, and will have the chance to briefly leapfrog their city rivals on Saturday at home to Aston Villa before Sir Alex Ferguson’s men take on Norwich in the evening fixture at Carrow Road.
